Deputed candidates attention please : As per Govt. order no. 330-Edn.(CS)/ES/EE/10M-16/15, dated 06.04.2015, in self-financing B.Ed. colleges, 20% seats are to be reserved for untrained in service/ deputed teachers of classes IX-XII. If the seats, reserved for deputed teachers, remain vacant, they will be de-reserved and offered to the fresh candidates.

Each deputed candidate must verify eligibility & availability of method subject as mentioned below before collecting the application form (White coloured).

As per Govt. order no. 330 -Edn.(CS)/ES/EE/10M-16/15, dated 06.04.2015, ratio for home University students and other University students shall be 80:20.

Eligibility : Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree means 50% marks in aggregate i.e. 50% of total marks of Honours subject +Elective subjects or in case of need 50% marks in Honours subject only) and/or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanity/ Commerce, or Bachelor’s in Engineering or technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, be eligible for application. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and PWD (Persons with disabilities) categories.

Age Limit : Age of the fresh Candidates as on 30th June, 2015 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be relaxation of 5 years in favour of fresh PWD category candidates.

Reservation : In each college 22% & 6% of total seats shall be kept reserved for SC & ST candidates (both Fresh & Deputed ) respectively and PWD candidates will enjoy a 3% reservation in each of the categories, i.e. in SC, ST and in the Unreserved or General category.

b) Availability of method subjects in the Self-financed Colleges may be changed at any stage during the process of admission to the Course.

c) Bio-chemistry & Electronics shall be treated as subjects in the Physical Science Group and in this case candidates shall have to take Physical Science as the method. Bio-technology, Nutrition, Microbiology & Env.Sc. shall be treated as subjects in the Life Science Group and in this case candidates shall have to take Life Science as the method.

d) Candidates, having Hons./P.G. in Stat./ Comp. Application / Comp. Sc./Engineering or Technology, shall be eligible to apply and in this case they shall have to take Mathematics as the method. List of those applicants shall be prepared with the applicants of the subject, Mathematics.

e) Candidates, having Hons./P.G. in Sociology, shall be eligible to apply and in this case they shall have to choose method subject from their elective subjects. List of those applicants shall be prepared with the applicants of the subject, Political Science.

f) The fresh candidates, having Hons./ P.G. in Santali / Arabic/ Urdu, shall be eligible to apply and shall get admission to the course subject to a maximum number of seats stipulated for them in each case. They shall have to choose method subject from their elective subjects & accordingly their names will be enlisted as per the 1st method to be mentioned by them in the application form.

Category of Application Form : Whether a fresh applicant shall get the application form either for the students of Burdwan University ( yellow coloured form ) or for the students of Other than Burdwan University ( pink coloured form ) will be determined on the basis of the Mark Sheet of the last Examination passed or the last Certificate ( in case of M.Phil. or Ph.D. holders).

Submission of Application Form : a) Before submitting the application form, candidates must ensure that they have carefully and neatly entered their detailed information and the marks in different columns of the forms. Any overwriting or double writing should be avoided. They should also preferably use ball-point pen while filling in the application forms.

b) i) Duly filled in application form, issued from Sales & Information Unit, B.U., shall be submitted to the counter of the Receiving Section, B.U., Rajbati, Burdwan, to be opened for this purpose .

ii) Duly filled in downloaded application form, along with a DD of Rs.300/-( ie. cost of application form ) drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, B.U., payable at SBI , B.U. Branch, Burdwan, shall be submitted to the Office of the Secretary, U.G. Council, B.U.

iii) No Candidate needs to submit more than one application form as the selection shall be made through central counselling.

iv) Last date of submission of forms : 04.09.2015 (upto 3 p.m.). Submission of application form by post should be avoided.

Publication of Provisional Rank List will be available on 18.09.2015 only on the University Website.

Course Fees : Total fee for pursuing this Course in the Self-financed Colleges is Rs. 70,000/- (including Uni. Exam. Fee Rs. 1500) per annum both for Deputed & Fresh Candidates of which Rs. 30000/- will be paid at the time of admission and the rest (i.e. Rs. 4 0 000/-) will be paid in eight (8) equal installments starting from the month of September every year. Note that total course fee for 2- years is Rs. 1,40,000/- per student.

1. Issue of application form to a candidate does not automatically ensure his/her eligibility for admission to the course. Candidates, engaged in any other Course of Studies/Job/Full-time Research Work, shall not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously.  2. For Deputed candidates only : As per Govt. order no. 330-Edn(CS)/ES/EE/10M-16/15, dated 06.04.2015, in self-financing B.Ed. colleges, 20% seats are to be reserved for untrained in service/ deputed teachers of classes IX-XII. 3. Eligibility : Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (50% marks in Bachelor's Degree means 50% marks in aggregate i.e. 50% of total marks of Honours subject+Elective subjects or incase of need 50% marks in Honours subject only) and/or in the Master's Degree in Science/Social Science Humanity/Commerce, or Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, be eligible for application. 4. As per instructions of UGC, the eligible SC/ST, OBC, PwD Students etc. should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by February, for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, PwD etc. each year.

e) Fresh applicants, having Hons./PG. in Santali/Arabic/Urdu shall be eligible to apply and shall get admission to the course subject to a maximum number of seats stipulated for them in each case. They shall have to choose method subject from their elective subjects & accordingly they will be enlisted as per the 1st method specified by them in the application forms.

f) Colleges, where Work Education is available, only 20% students (including all) will be given the subject by the College concerned according to the subject-wise merit.

g) Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed), will be considered for admission to a college only when the method subject of a candidate concerned will be available in that college. Deputed Candidates shall have to take the subject as the method in which they are the approved teachers.

9. Category of Application Form : Whether a fresh applicant shall get the application form either for the students of Burdwan University (yellow form) or for the students of Other than Burdwan University (pink form) will be determined on the basis of the Mark Sheet of the last Examination passed or the last Certificate (in case of M. Phil. or Ph. D. holders).

 10. Availability of Application Form : Application forms shall be available on and from 27.08.2015 to 04.09.2015 (from 11am to 2.30 pm) from the Sales & Information Unit, B.U. Rajbati, Burdwan (from 11am to1.30 pm) only on working days, on payment of Rs. 300. Application form may be downloaded from the Website [http/www.buruniv.ac.in].

11. Submission of Application Form :

a) Before submitting the application forms, candidates must ensure that they have carefully and neatly entered their detailed information and the marks in different columns of the forms. b) i) Duly filled in application form, issued from Sales & Information Unit, B.U., shall be submitted to the counter of the Receiving Section, B.U., Rajbati, Burdwan, to be opened for this purpose. ii) Duly filled in downloaded application form, along with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 300 drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, B.U., payable at SBI, B.U. Branch, Burdwan, shall be submitted to the Office of the Secretary, U.G. Council, B.U., Rajbati, Burdwan.

c) Fresh candidates must enclose self attested photo copies of Admit Card [M.P.(S.E.) or equivalent], Mark Sheets ( both sides) of all the public examinations passed and Certificate(s) of M.Phil. and/or Ph.D., if any.

d) Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed), who are seeking reservation against SC/ST category, must enclose self attested photo copy of the Certificate obtained from the competent authority to authenticate their claim. Relevant certificate must conform to THE W.B. GOVT. MEMO NO.1813-BCW/MR-94/11 dated Kolkata, 20th June, 2011.

The certificate must be obtained from one of the authorities listed below :

i) Deputy Director, Backward Classes Welfare, West Bengal and Commissioner, Backward Classes Welfare, West Bengal in case of candidates claiming to be Scheduled Cast or Scheduled Tribe residing in any part of West Bengal.

ii) Deputy Commissioner of Land Revenue, Kolkata, Collector of Stamp Revenue, Kolkata, Metropolitan Magistrate, Kolkata, Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Kolkata, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Kolkata, 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate, Executive Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Collector, Addl. District Magistrate, Collector and District Magistrate with their respective jurisdictions in case of candidates claiming to be Scheduled Cast or Scheduled Tribe and ordinarily residing within such jurisdictions.

e) Deputed Candidates must enclose self attested photo copies of Admit Card [ M.P. (S.E.) or equivalent], Mark Sheets ( both sides) of all the public examinations passed, Certificate(s) of M.Phil. and/or Ph.D., if any and the Copy(ies) of Approval for the post(s) held at present and earlier along with the resolution of the Managing Committee of the School concerned (present employer). Teachers, teaching for class IX onward in the Govt. Aided Institutions only, shall be considered as Deputed Candidates. Their application forms must be countersigned by the concerned District Inspector of Schools/Competent Authority otherwise, their application forms shall be treated as cancelled.

f) No Candidate needs to submit more than one application form as the selection shall be made through central counselling.

g) Last date of submission of forms : 04.09.2015 (upto 3 p.m.). Submission of application form by post should be avoided.

12. Selection Procedure :

a) For Deputed Candidates of all categories (Gen., SC, ST & PWD), provisional Rank list shall be prepared on the basis of their approved length of service. In case of same length of service of two or more candidates, the 2nd and 3rd criteria shall be Academic Score and Date of Birth respectively.

b) Separate list for deputed applicants shall be prepared as per the following groups :

 i) Language & Social Science Group : (Beng., Eng., Sans., Hin., Geo., Hist., Pol. Sc./Socio., Phil., Edn., Eco., Music, Commerce)

 ii) Life Science Group : (Zoo., Bot., Physio., Bio-tech., Nutri, Micro-bio., Env.Sc.)

 iii) Physical Science Group : (Phy., Elect., Chem., Bio-chem.),

 iv) Math./Stat./Comp. Application/Comp. Sc./Engineering or Technology.

c) For Fresh Candidates of all categories (Gen., SC, ST & PWD), subject wise provisional Rank list shall be prepared on the basis of their Grade Points to be computed as per the following norms :

i) 10% of the percentage of marks obtained at the M.P.(S.E.) or Equivalent Examination.

ii) 10% of the percentage of marks obtained at the H.S.(10+2) or Equivalent Examination.

iii) a) 15% of the percentage of marks obtained at the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Gen.) Examination or, b) 20% of the percentage of marks obtained at the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Hons. or equivalent Examination [% of marks obtained in this case must be computed considering the marks of Hons. subject only].

 iv) 20% of the percentage of marks obtained at Post Graduate Examination.

v) a) Ad hoc 5 marks shall be awarded for M. Phil. Degree or, b) Ad hoc 8 marks shall be awarded for Ph. D. degree.

 (Candidates with M. Phil. & Ph. D. degrees both, only 8 marks be awarded).

13. Notification for publication of Provisional Rank List will be available only on the University Website on 18.09.2015.

14. Venue, Date, Time and Sl. Nos. for Counselling shall be announced at the time of publication of provisional Rank lists and the same will be available on the University Website as well. During counselling candidates are advised to bring with them the receipt of the application form and all the credentials in original. If any candidate (or his/her authorized representative) fails to appear at the Counselling, he/she will not be considered for admission to the course and no further request will be entertained in this regard. After Counselling names of the selected candidates shall be sent to the respective colleges for admission and the remaining part of admission process shall be done by the college concerned. Once allotted no further request for change will be entertained.

15. At the time of admission, selected candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) must produce all the testimonials in original. The mere fact that any candidate, provisionally recommended for admission through counselling, does not by itself ensure admission to the course unless his/her original testimonials are found in order and admission shall be made final only after proper verification of all the testimonials in original. In addition, deputed candidates must have to submit "No Objection Certificate'' in original, at the time of admission, taken from their employer permitting them to pursue the course of studies (from July 2015 to June 2017) on fulltime basis.

16. Course Fees : Total fee for pursuing this Course in the Self-financed Colleges is Rs. 70,000/- (including Uni. Exam. Fee Rs. 1500) per annum both for Deputed & Fresh Candidates of which Rs. 30000/-will be paid at the time of admission and the rest (i.e. Rs. 40000/-) will be paid in eight (8) equal installments starting from the month of September every year. Note that total course fee for 2-years is Rs. 1,40,000/- per student.

17. The Authority of each self-financed B.Ed. College will spend Rs. 1,50,000/- (Rs. One lac fifty thousand) only per unit (i.e. for 50 students) in every academic session for the benefit of the student in the form of relaxation of tuition fees. This benefit will be given to the poor and meritorious fresh candidates but not to the candidates admitted on Management Quota.

18. The minimum attendance of student- teachers shall be 80% for all course work & practicum and 90% for school internship as per NCTE Regulations-2014.

19. The University also reserves the right to drop or include any name if any suppression of facts on the part of the applicants or any mistake in the calculation of grade point is detected at any stage before and after admission.

20. Rules of The University of Burdwan, The Govt. of West Bengal & The NCTE shall be followed.
