Admission
eligibility:-
Hons. / Spl.
Hons. / Three-year General Graduate / Three-year Pass Graduate with minimum 300
marks in the subject concerned / One-year Bridge Course in relevent subject /
M.A. in a subject (other than professional subjects) is eligible for admission
into M.A. in any other subjects.

Admission eligibility:-
1. M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography (M.A. / M.Sc.) and Applied Mathematics - Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Major in relevent subject.
2. M.Sc. in Dietetics
and Community Nutrition Management - (i) Hons. in Physiology / Zoology /
Nursing / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Nutrition / Food & Nutrition / Home
Science / Three-year General Graduate with any one of the above subjects /
B.Sc. (Ag. / Vocational / Major), (ii) MBBS / BHMS / BAMS.
3. M.Sc. in
Environmental Science - Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Major / Three-year General
Graduate in science subjects including Economics and Geography. These criteria
are relaxed for sponsored
candidates with ordinarily 3
years' experience in science laboratories / industries / academic and research
institutes. In such case, two-year pass / three-year pass graduates are also
eligible. Sponsored candidates
can take admission only at Vidyasagar University Center (Headquarter).
Admission
rules and Procedings ::
1. There is no age bar in admission in
Distance Learning Courses, i.e., admission is open to any person of any age
within eligible criteria.
2. There is no cut-off year for any course in admission.
3. Admission will be on first come-first serve basis for the following courses : (a) M. A. in Bengali, English, History,Political Science with Rural Administration and Sanskrit, M. Com. with Farm Management.
(b) M. Sc. in Dietetics and Community Nutrition Management.
(c) M. Sc. in Environmental Science (for Hons. Candidates only)
4. Admission in M. Sc. Course in Environmental Science (for 3-year general graduates, if seats remain vacant after the admission of Hons. / Major Candidates), Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Zoology and Applied Mathematics with Oceanology and Computer Programming will be on first come-first serve basis for the candidates having 45% marks at graduation level. For the candidates having less than 45% marks admission will be made through preparation of Merit Lists if seats remain vacant.
5. Candidates seeking admission to any course offered by the Directorate need not submit transfer certificate / migration certificate.
6. All admissions are provisional subject to verification of the required documents.
