NBU MPHIL Admission Notice 2015-17

ADMISSION TO M.PHIL PROGRAMME 2015-2017

Applications are invited in prescribed forms from candidates having Master Degree in the respective subjects with at least 55% marks [50% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD] for admission to the four semester M.Phil programme of the session 2015-2017 in Bengali/English/Nepali/Philosophy/Political Science/Economics/History and Himalayan Studies [under the Centre for Himalayan Studies].

For Himalayan Studies candidates having Master Degree in Strategic & Area Studies/ History/Geography/Economics/Political Science/Sociology/Anthropology with at least 55% marks [50% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD] are eligible to apply.

Prescribed Application Forms will be available from the Office of the Secretary, Faculty Council for P.G Studies in Arts, Commerce & Law, on payment of Rs. 150/-[Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/OBC-A & OBC-B candidates of the State of West Bengal by producing certificate in their names] at the University cash counter from 01.12.2015 to 08.12.2015 between 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.

Application Forms may also be downloaded from the University website www.nbu.ac.in.

 The downloaded form has to be submitted along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 150/-[Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/OBC-A & OBC-B candidates of the State of West Bengal by submitting certificate in their names] drawn in favour of the ‘University of North Bengal’ and payable at State Bank of India, NBU Campus Branch. Application along with self-attested photo copies of all testimonials shall reach at the Office of
the Secretary, Faculty Council for P.G Studies in Arts, Commerce & Law, NBU-734013, by 08.12.2015.
No application will be received by the Office of the Secretary, Faculty Council for P.G Studies in Arts, Commerce & Law, after 3.30 P.M. of  08.12.2015. University will not take responsibility for  Postal delay, if any.

Admission Test will be conducted in the respective Departments/Centre on 18.12.2015.

Date of Publication of list of eligible candidates for viva-voce is 21.12.2015.

Date of viva-voce in respective Departments/Centre is 22.12.2015.

The merit list of the provisionally selected candidates will be notified on 23.12.2015.

No other intimation regarding the selection will be issued to the applicants.
